there is only one way 2 go with tv here in costa rica..the direct tv package is brutal except it offers the sport packages..for the networks and real tv..dish network is the way to go..don paul at 3820403 is da man..enough sports to satisfy the above average addict..its about 2 dimes to set up properly and 80 american a month..

mr.jabow..don paul rocks..he will guide you..there is really no package for sports on the dish network..u r programmed for the entire package with the set up..its more than enough for the average fan and u get..abc,,,cbs,,,nbc..all day..the movie package is excellent..

No..Ive got a friend who can "test" HU cards (not dish-net). Look up what "test" means. Its not my thing, but it is cool.

BTY- HU cards are the "progammable" cards that Direct TV used to supply (until about 6 mnths ago) with their systems.

Can you get the same DirectTV or Dish Network TV in Costa Rica as you can in the U.S? Or is it Latin American Direct TV? ...makes a big difference.

Yes you can pickup the American satellites in Costa Rica. To receive American DTV you need to have a larger dish than the one used to pickup Latin DTV, the required dish must be a min of 10 feet. I'm not 100% certain about the size of dish required to pickup Dishnetwork, my buddy has it but I've never looked at the dish.

HU cards don't work on the latin network. They moved to the clown cards over a year ago. No one has been able to crack them yet.
